Location: Soho & Elephant and Castle | Contract: Until June 2027 | 35-40 Hour Contract (Up to 45 Hours/Week)
Pot & Rice is a trendy Pan-Asian restaurant located in the heart of Soho, and our Soho site is our second London location. With a menu full of creative, modern Asian cuisine, we’re passionate about delivering great food with exceptional service. We’re now looking for full time front of house staff to join our team on a 1 year contract basis — up to 45 hours per week, with the opportunity to work across both our Soho and Elephant & Castle locations.
The Role
As a member of our front of house team, you’ll play a key part in delivering outstanding service to our guests during the busy season and beyond. You’ll help set up the restaurant, provide a smooth dining experience, and support in closing at the end of service. We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer‑focused individuals with a passion for hospitality and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality (restaurant, bar, or café).
- Flexible and available to work at both Soho and Elephant & Castle sites.
- Friendly, professional, and confident in customer interactions.
- Able to multitask between bar and floor duties.
- Experience with cash handling, PDQ payments & EPOS till systems (training provided).
- Calm, patient, and team‑oriented personality.
- Fluent English is essential; Chinese, Korean or Japanese languages are a plus.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily restaurant operations from opening to closing.
- Take orders confidently and communicate effectively with the kitchen and team.
- Serve food and beverages in line with company standards.
- Handle written and electronic orders accurately.
- Maintain clean and tidy service areas, including polishing cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling, and Alcohol Service policies.
- Assist in setting up and clearing down your section between shifts.
