Rahana Life, a growing business dedicated to providing bespoke and integrated client centred assistive technology solutions, is looking to appoint a highly motivated Rehabilitation Engineer/ Assistive Technology Specialist to work on a part time basis (flexible hours to suit) at our office in Birmingham, at home or at client sites as required.
This Rehabilitation Engineer/ Assistive Technology Specialist role involves assessing and supplying integrated advanced assistive technologies which aid or replicate arm function. We are looking for a strong team player who can work alongside us to deliver client centred solutions in a cost effective and timely manner.

What we are looking for in our ideal Rehabilitation Engineer/ Assistive Technology Specialist:
- A good understanding of clinical and engineering needs related to assistive technologies
- At least 3 years assessment and installation experience with assistive technology service or supplier
- Ability to use hand tools to fit items safely and proficiently
- Experience of configuring computer based devices
- Ability to design and specify mechanical items like brackets and mounts
- Understand quality control methods and systems ie ISO 9000
- Own car and willingness to travel throughout UK as required at short notice
As well as the above you will be an excellent team player with all round communication skills and a serious passion to support people with disabilities to get the best out of life.
