Full Job Description

As a result of continued business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Legionella Risk Assessor with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, to deliver Legionella risk assessments and water hygiene consultancy visits to a variety of our clients, working across a wide range of building types including commercial, industrial and domestic type properties. The role is field-based and focused on the customer base throughout Yorkshire and surrounding areas, with occasional travel outside of the area to nationwide clients. The role offers great career growth potential for the right candidate due to the continuing expansion of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting with clients to carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACoP L8, HSG274, BS 8580-1 on a variety of sites including healthcare, industrial, and commercial.
  • Promoting and supporting Health & Safety regulatory standards and practice at site and in our service delivery.
  • Producing detailed reports on Legionella control and water hygiene standards and tasks.
  • Carrying out a range of Legionella & Water Hygiene consultancy and control visits to clients sites including water temperature monitoring, shower head descaling, sampling & disinfection works.
  • Problem solving / diagnosing faults within plumbing systems and making recommendations for maintenance and remedial work where appropriate.
  • Delivering practical Legionella control training on client sites to up to 3 people.
  • Compiling accurate schematic diagrams of domestic water systems.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience (3 years+) within a Legionella control job role.
  • Approved Legionella Risk Assessor Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc) is desirable; certification can be arranged for an experienced candidate.
  • Competent working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and practice.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly within Microsoft Office programs (majority of work completed in our tablet software forms).

Minimum Requirements

  • Full clean UK Driving licence
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (DBS check)
  • Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required); Relevant industry qualification/certification

Benefits

Schedule
