Are you an experienced B2B salesperson, sales manager or business development executive with proven field sales success and able to create sales opportunities in new target markets in Northern Ireland?
Sales / Business Development:
- Research target markets
- Identify & pursue new sales across Northern Ireland
- Promote services of an established postal business and mailing house to new customers in both public and private sector including SMEs, marketing agencies, printers/publishers, healthcare, legal and finance, charities and e-commerce
You will be supported by an experienced customer services and management team but expected to manage an independent workload.
Reporting To: Business Development Manager
Permanent / Full Time Working Hours: 37.5 per week, flexible working and hybrid options.
Our Company: Postal Group provides innovative and cost-saving mailing solutions to over 2000 private business and public sector clients across Northern Ireland. Customers include solicitors, GPs, the NI Health and Social Care Trusts and many NI councils. We provide a cost-saving alternative to franking machines, offering daily mail collections, secure mail deliveries as well as running NI's largest independent mailing house. We've been providing postal services for over 35 years.
Experience of selling within B2B especially in print, postage, mail fulfilment or direct mailing would be advantageous. Training on our products and services will be provided.
Can you research target markets and create a marketing strategy and marketing materials? Can you create and maintain social media content? Can you develop a sales pipeline and secure meetings with decision makers, converting leads to sales? You would be joining us just as we have added new products to our portfolio, and you would be expected to contribute to a solutions-based approach for our customers.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary range: £28,000 to £35,000 dependent upon experience + commission

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Relevant Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Essential Business to business sales experience / proven track record of meeting sales targets
- Evidence of independently achieving results while working on own initiative
- Developing sales in new business markets
- Experience in lead generation and market research
- Experience with creating/developing sales materials and presentations
- Proven experience building business relationships / securing contact with the buyer
- Proven experience building sales via social media, direct calls and email marketing
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the NI and ROI geographical market
- Knowledge / Experience of the print/postal/mail fulfilment or similar sector
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Full UK driving licence and access to own car
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
- High level of written and spoken English
- Proactive, able to work independently achieve results while working on own initiative
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft products including Outlook
- Competent in word processing, spreadsheet (Excel), presentation software, e-mail, CRM systems and the internet
- Able to work flexibly to ensure business needs are met
- Able to gain knowledge of products quickly and to present them to buyer confidently
- High resilience and determination, able to resolve challenges with positivity
