Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver high-quality mechanical design across a broad range of built-environment projects. This role is based in Bristol and supports a diverse regional project pipeline across commercial, residential, education, technology and mixed-use developments.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for producing coordinated, efficient mechanical designs, supporting multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring technical excellence throughout project delivery. This role suits someone who can manage their own workload, work independently when needed, and maintain strong communication with both clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed, coordinated mechanical designs across HVAC and associated systems
  • Deliver specifications, calculations and technical reports tailored to project needs
  • Use design software (such as Revit and AutoCAD) to develop accurate engineering solutions
  • Attend client meetings, design team meetings and site inspections
  • Manage your own tasks and potentially your own smaller projects
  • Contribute to innovation, research and improved ways of working
  • Provide high-quality written documentation including reports and technical outputs
  • Support multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure integrated engineering delivery

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering mechanical engineering solutions across complex projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams within a consultancy environment
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and relevant mechanical design tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage client-facing activity
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards
  • A proactive, open-minded and collaborative approach
