You will lead your own KS1 class, delivering creative and effective lessons that support early learning, phonics, and core literacy and numeracy skills. The role includes full teaching responsibility, from planning and assessment to daily classroom routines. A confident and calm approach to behaviour management is essential, as the school is looking for a teacher who can establish clear expectations and provide a nurturing yet structured learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and planning across the KS1 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils' early academic and social development
  • Managing classroom behaviour with consistency and confidence
  • Assessing progress and adapting lessons where required
  • Working closely with support staff and the wider school team

Qualifications

  • Holds QTS (or is an ECT)
  • Has KS1 teaching experience (including placements)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but in some cases the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
