Are you an experienced logistics professional looking for your next challenge? POST Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading organisation in the logistics and warehousing sector to find a Warehousing and Logistics Co-ordinator for their busy Sheffield-based operation.
In this strategically important role, you\’ll take ownership of key operational and administrative functions within the warehouse and logistics team — playing a crucial role in inventory management, transport coordination, procurement, and supplier relationships. You’ll also act as the central communication hub between internal departments and external service providers, ensuring a high level of operational integrity, data accuracy, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound containers and carry out quality checks on inventory
- Plan and process B2B loads, including resolving any issues
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Tender and procure transportation services
- Manage consumables procurement and inventory
- Act as the first point of contact for all warehouse and transport queries
- Carry out daily random stock checks and ensure inventory data accuracy
- Generate reports on aged or slow-moving stock
- Oversee and improve the returns process
- Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements
- Monitor and report on carbon footprint and sustainability efforts
- Support senior management with additional tasks as needed
Training & Onboarding
- Initial training and familiarisation period: 0-3 months
- Ongoing support from experienced team members
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a logistics, warehousing, or supply chain coordination role
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- A proactive mindset with an eye for process improvement
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and systems accuracy
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team
Key Benefits
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
- (With unpaid lunch breaks)
- 37 contracted hours per week (flexibility may occasionally be required)
