POST- recruitment are seeking a driven and experienced Production Manager to lead a specialist CNC machining operations at a Burnley facility. This is a hands-on role for someone with a solid background in manufacturing leadership, CNC operations, and continuous improvement practices. You’ll play a key part in driving quality, efficiency, and compliance while leading a skilled team in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities: Production Management * Manage production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. * Ensure stock levels and raw materials meet daily operational demands. * Deliver high-quality output efficiently, with a focus on minimizing waste. * Maintain product standards in line with customer and company requirements. CNC Operations Oversee CNC machinery and machining operations to meet production targets. Support tooling, programming, and setup of CNC machines (e.g. lathes, milling). Monitor CNC performance, carry out first-line troubleshooting, and minimise downtime. Integrate CNC output into the broader production process efficiently. Granulation Department * Manage internal and external material reprocessing through granulation lines. * Maintain equipment uptime and ensure regrind materials meet extrusion quality. * Ensure environmental and safety compliance in granulation operations. Quality, Hygiene & BRC Compliance * Lead internal audits, manage documentation, and implement corrective actions. * Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards across the facility. Team Leadership & Development * Supervise and support a diverse production team, including CNC operators. * Handle staff allocation, training, appraisals, and development plans. * Maintain a positive, safe, and productive workplace culture. * Recruit, onboard, and train new team members to meet operational needs. Operational Oversight * Maintain accurate production and waste records. * Ensure machinery, including CNC systems, are maintained and compliant. * Monitor legal compliance, including Health & Safety and employment regulations. Continuous Improvement * Identify areas for efficiency gains and implement improvement initiatives. * Keep up to date with industry trends and technological advancements. * Champion a proactive and solution-oriented work environment. Required Skills & Experience: * Proven CNC operations experience, including machine setup and troubleshooting. * Process improvement * Experience managing teams in a production or engineering setting. * Working knowledge of production planning tools and Microsoft Office/ERP systems. * Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices.
