As Procurement Manager, you’ll lead the operational development and delivery of procurement across the business. You’ll be instrumental in driving efficiencies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing supplier relationships — all while overseeing the on-site Warehouse team responsible for the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain the company’s procurement strategy and operational processes in line with ISO quality management standards. * Ensure compliance with national/international procurement and transportation regulations. * Analyse internal and external data to drive cost-saving initiatives, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making. * Fully utilise procurement and data management systems for effective procurement and stock control. * Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to optimise value, mitigate risk, and enhance service delivery. * Oversee supplier contracts and ensure compliance with SLAs through regular reviews. * Support internal teams with contract management, renewals, and value-for-money analysis. * Manage a high-performing Warehouse and Procurement team: * Set and review KPIs. * Conduct appraisals and regular 1:1s. * Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance within Warehouse operations. * Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours: * Strong financial and numerical skills. * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. * Strategic mindset with commercial awareness. * Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities. * Strong negotiation and networking abilities. * IT proficiency, particularly with procurement systems and Microsoft Office. * Excellent communication skills. * Proven leadership and team development capabilities. * Strong planning and prioritisation skills. Required Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. * Industry-recognised qualification (e.g. CIPS / NVQ in Procurement). * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a procurement role, with demonstrable success in both strategic and operational procurement.
