As Procurement Manager, you’ll take ownership of procurement across the business, driving efficiencies, maximising value from supplier partnerships, and helping shape the future of procurement strategy. You’ll also play a key role in embedding the benefits of the newly implemented ERP system, ensuring the business continues to lead the way in smart, data-driven decision making. While a small part of your remit will include oversight of warehouse operations, this is primarily a strategic role where your influence will be felt across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and deliver the company’s procurement strategy in line with ISO quality management standards. * Ensure compliance with national and international procurement and transportation regulations. * Harness the power of the new ERP system to drive smarter procurement decisions, cost-saving initiatives, and process improvements. * Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to optimise value, reduce risk, and enhance service. * Manage supplier contracts and SLAs, ensuring performance through regular review and analysis. * Support internal stakeholders with contract management, renewals, and value-for-money analysis. * Provide leadership to the Procurement (and small Warehouse) team, setting KPIs, carrying out appraisals, and ensuring a culture of high performance. * Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners. Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours: * Strong commercial awareness and a strategic mindset. * Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills. * Confident in leveraging data and procurement systems (ERP experience highly beneficial). * Strong leadership and people-development skills. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Required Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. * Industry-recognised qualification (e.g. CIPS / NVQ in Procurement). * Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience, with proven success in both operational and strategic procurement.
