The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on Logistics & Site Operative to join a growing business based in Horsforth, Leeds on an immediate start basis. This role is less traditional warehouse work and more focused on storage, site set-ups, and deliveries. You’ll play a key role in ensuring materials and equipment are prepared, delivered to site on time, and cleared efficiently once projects are completed. It’s a varied, practical role suited to someone who enjoys being active, working independently, and taking responsibility for getting the job done properly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Storage & Logistics
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Keep the storage area clean, organised, and well maintained
- Check deliveries against paperwork and report any discrepancies
- Carry out regular stock checks and report shortages or damage
- Ensure safe and secure storage of all materials and equipment
- Deliver materials and equipment to sites across Yorkshire using company vehicles
- Assist with site set-ups, including unloading and positioning equipment
- Support site clear-downs and collections following project completion
- Carry out basic cleaning and maintenance tasks on-site as required
- Take initiative during quieter periods to keep operations running smoothly
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and project teams to ensure smooth scheduling
- Maintain a flexible, can-do approach to supporting the wider team
About You:
- Experience in a logistics, warehouse, site, or similar hands-on role (experience level is flexible)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy — able to work independently
- Flexible with working hours when early starts are required
- FLT licence preferred but not essential
- Local to Horsforth or the wider Leeds area
- Available for an immediate start
