360 Operator – Scrap / Recycling Grabber
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Location: Derby – Loughborough
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 15:30
We are recruiting for an experienced 360 Operator to join a well-established recycling and scrap metal business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled 360 Excavator Operator or 360 Crane Operator who thrives in a busy yard environment and wants a stable, long-term role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of a 360 scrap metal grabber to move, lift, and sort materials.
- Using attachments including grabs, magnets, and shears to handle different types of scrap.
- Sorting, processing, and separating ferrous and non-ferrous metals for recycling or further processing.
- Loading and unloading vehicles within the recycling yard.
- Carrying out daily machine checks and routine maintenance on the 360 excavator.
- Following strict health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills & Experience Required:
- A valid CPCS or NPORS licence to operate a 360 scrap grab operator machine.
- Previous experience in the scrap, waste, or recycling industry.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a yard or industrial environment.
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced setting.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify potential equipment issues.
