What to expect
The Divisional Retail Capability Manager is a key member of the Retail Capability Team, responsible for the delivery of functional strategies, always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating an Operator first mindset. Acting as an expert advisor, the Divisional Retail Capability Manager will apply advanced knowledge of people leadership and partner capability requirements as well as broad knowledge of Post Office commercial, retail, operational standards. Due to the location of the teams you will be managing you will need to live on patch in South East England.
The Divisional Retail Capability Manager will lead and manage a regional team of Retail Capability Specialists responsible for the delivery of training, coaching and capability development for Independent, Scale and Corporate Partner Branches. Ensuring clear objectives, quality assurance, performance monitoring, and professional development, they will drive a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance across their team, delivering an exceptional training support service for our Operators.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need have experience managing a field based team within Retail. In addition you will possess:
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams, including performance management and professional development
- Strong understanding of operational processes, compliance requirements, and commercial performance drivers in a retail or service environment
- Experience in designing and implementing capability strategies aligned to business objectives
- Substantial experience in establishing successful, cross-functional, stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects to achieve key objectives
- Experience in Quality Assurance and standards, ideally within a training capacity
