What to expect

The Supplier Relationship Specialist is a key member of the Commercial Management team, responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives, always modelling the Post Office behaviours, and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.

The Supplier Relationship Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Supplier Relationship Manager in aligning suppliers’ capabilities with Post Office business objectives, ultimately contributing to the overall performance and success of the organisation. The role involves managing daily operations related to supplier interactions, leading cross functional teams to address supplier related challenges, and ensuring value for money through tracking financial risks and opportunities. The team is responsible for managing Suppliers and Contracts involving HR, Professional Services, Training and Development, Facilities and Fleet so experience working with Suppliers providing those contractual services would be of benefit.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience managing Supplier Relationships within Contract Management. In addition you will possess:

  • Experience working closely with Suppliers to ensure they are adhering to contractual SLA's
  • Experience in establishing cross functional stakeholder relationships
  • Commercially oriented with a good business acumen
  • Demonstrable experience working in a Supplier Relationship capacity
  • Ideally CIPS level 4 or 5
  • Ideally experience working in the Public Sector or similar industry (Charity, Membership Body etc)
