The Programme Director is accountable for the end‑to‑end leadership and delivery of a complex, multi‑year technology and business transformation programme. You will be responsible for ensuring it delivers its intended strategic, commercial, operational and regulatory outcomes. The role will provide clear, authoritative leadership across multiple workstreams, suppliers and internal teams, maintaining tight grip on scope, risk, cost and dependencies. The Programme Director will act as the single point of accountability for programme delivery, reporting to Executive and Board‑level sponsors. What you’ll need to succeed: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate proven experience as Programme Director (or equivalent) leading large‑scale, complex transformation programmes. In addition to this you will have:

  • Track record of delivering major technology or operating model change in a regulated or complex environment
  • Strong Executive and Board‑level engagement and credibility
  • Deep experience managing multiple senior suppliers and system integrators
  • Demonstrated grip on delivery discipline, risk management and commercial control
  • Influential leadership skills with ability to build confidence through clarity, transparency and delivery grip

Desirable:

  • Proven experience leading technology driven business transformation in a growing organisation, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Demonstrated success modernising legacy environments, large digital transformations and delivering complex change programmes.
  • Expertise in data strategy, system integration, and cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, regulatory driven change and risk management.
