What to expect

The Product Owner - EPOS Platform is accountable for defining, shaping, and continuously evolving the EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) product estate that underpins all branch transactions across the Post Office network.

This is a product-led role, responsible for setting clear product direction, vision, and strategy for the EPOS platform. The role focuses on maximising product value, ensuring alignment to customer, Postmaster, and business outcomes, and enabling the organisation’s broader retail and digital ambitions.

The Product Owner sits at the heart of a major transformation programme to modernise legacy platforms, establishing a future ready, resilient, and scalable EPOS capability. They are accountable for translating strategic goals into a coherent product roadmap and prioritised backlog, ensuring that investment decisions are driven by value, outcomes, and long-term product sustainability rather than delivery outputs alone.

The role will define product direction and ensure alignment to contractual outcomes, while embedding EPOS capabilities effectively within the wider enterprise architecture and operating model. This includes ensuring seamless integration with adjacent systems and services across the technology landscape.

Working closely with Branch Operations, Technology, Transformation teams, and third-party partners, the Product Owner ensures the EPOS platform supports evolving business needs and enables seamless end-to-end transaction journeys. They act as the voice of the customer and Postmaster, balancing usability, performance, compliance, and operational resilience.
