The Product Manager supports the Heads of Product in delivering the commercial, customer and portfolio strategy across Post Office Insurance’s product lines. The role plays a critical part in enabling the business to achieve growth, profitability, and customer‑value ambitions by managing day‑to‑day product performance, supporting proposition development, coordinating partner engagement, and contributing to strong product governance.
This role acts as a core link between commercial leadership and execution teams ensuring that product initiatives, optimisations, and strategic priorities defined by the Product & Proposition Director are translated into actionable plans that drive meaningful outcomes. What you’ll need to succeed: The successful candidate will have proven experience in a product, proposition, commercial or insurance role (preferably within financial services). In addition to this, you will have:
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product and P&L drivers
- Good analytical capability and the ability to interpret MI and insight
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- Customer‑centric thinking and a drive to improve value and outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams with strong organisational skills
- Demonstrated experience using insight and MI to support product decisions
- Experience working with insurers, underwriters or actuarial teams (desirable)
- Understanding of FCA product governance and Consumer Duty expectations (desirable)
- Professional qualifications (ACII, product management, commercial strategy) beneficial but not essential
