The Product Governance Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day execution and coordination of Product Governance activities across Post Office Insurance’s product portfolio, ensuring compliance with FCA PROD 4 and Consumer Duty requirements.

The role supports the Head of Product Governance by operating core governance processes across the product lifecycle, including product approvals, in‑life reviews, fair value assessments and outcome testing. Acting as a first‑line control function, the Product Governance Manager ensures governance activity is well‑evidenced, consistently applied and effectively embedded within Product and Commercial teams.

The role has responsibility for identifying, escalating and supporting the remediation of product, conduct and customer outcome risks, including potential foreseeable harm. This role offers you an incredible opportunity to join Post Office Insurance at the start of an ambitious period of growth.

What you’ll need to succeed: The successful candidate for this role will have demonstrable experience in Product Governance, Conduct Risk, Compliance, Product Management or a related role within insurance or financial services. In addition to this, you will have:

  • Strong working knowledge of FCA Product Governance (PROD 4) requirements within insurance or financial services.
  • Practical understanding of Consumer Duty, including fair value, outcome testing and evidencing customer outcomes.
  • Good understanding of insurance products, pricing structures and distribution models.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to critically review documentation and MI.
  • Ability to interpret data, performance metrics and value assessments to identify risks and issues.
  • Experience supporting or delivering product approvals, in‑life reviews and fair value assessments.
  • Experience working within regulated governance and committee structures.
  • Relevant professional qualification desirable (e.g. insurance, compliance, risk, conduct or product‑related qualification).
