What to expect
As a Business Operations Specialist, you will join us on our journey and undertake a truly valuable role responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives, always modelling Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset. Acting as a trusted advisor and coordination lead, the role will bring expertise in business operations, stakeholder engagement and delivery of functional priorities, following best practice across planning, reporting and operational management. You will support the COO in driving business priorities forward and lead coordination of key strategic and operational activity across the function, ensuring effective visibility, alignment and delivery. You will act as a central point of coordination between the executive and the wider team, enabling alignment between strategic priorities and day-to-day delivery, and supporting the overall effectiveness and performance of the function. The role will also provide targeted executive support where required, ensuring the COO is effectively supported in managing priorities and stakeholder engagement, while maintaining a primary focus on driving outcomes and delivery across the function.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
Experience and Qualifications- Experience supporting delivery of business or functional priorities through coordination, planning or project activity
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders across teams to deliver shared outcomes
- Experience delivering or contributing to projects or workstreams
- Experience preparing high-quality written outputs (e.g. reports, briefings, presentations)
- Experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment with competing priorities
- Proven experience collaborating with peers, colleagues, and stakeholders to contribute to the delivery of functional strategy to achieve business objectives
- Experience in establishing successful, cross-functional stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrable experience of leading on the delivery of project milestones to achieve key objectives
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across teams
- Demonstrates sound judgement in interpreting priorities, managing ambiguity and recommending appropriate actions
- Strong organisational and planning capability, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive delivery
