As a Learning & Development Trainer - Capability, you will join us on our journey and undertake a valuable role reporting to the Learning & Development Manager. The Learning & Development Trainer is responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of high‐quality, engaging learning interventions that support the organisation's Performance, Talent and Development agenda. The role plays a critical part in equipping colleagues with the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to support organisational performance, cultural alignment and transformation.

As a learning practitioner, the L&D Partner – Trainer leads the facilitation of enterprise‐wide development programmes, workshops and learning solutions, ensuring they are practical, inclusive and aligned to business priorities. This role brings learning to life by creating impactful training experiences that drive capability building and sustained behaviour change.

Acting as a trusted partner to the business, the L&D Partner – Trainer provides guidance and insight on learning and development solutions, coaching colleagues and leaders to embed performance and development practices effectively. Working closely with People colleagues and functional leadership teams, the role ensures stakeholders are fully engaged, confident and supported to maximise the value of performance, talent and development initiatives, helping to build future‐ready capability across Post Office.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in HR, L&D, Psychology, or related field
  • Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. CIPD, coaching, psychometrics, development tools)

Experience:

  • Strong experience in designing and delivering performance, talent and development initiatives in a large, complex organisation
  • Confident working with, providing guidance and influencing senior stakeholders and executives on performance, talent and development initiatives
  • Skilled in assessing and advancing performance, talent and development initiatives based on feedback and external analysis
  • Experience working with external learning partners, internal and external system partners, coaches, or leadership development providers
  • Able to evaluate performance, talent and development outcomes and translate insights into action
  • Ability to handle sensitive data and information confidentially and discreetly
  • Strong presentation and delivery skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
