What to expect
The Lead Security Architect will design and review system architectures, align with POL\’s technology principles, and collaborate across functional areas to develop a cohesive security strategy. Support transformation initiatives, establish design principles, and regularly update security measures to mitigate emerging threats and risks. Ensuring POL\’s Security Architecture capability is effective and minimises risks of compromise and disruption.
The Lead Security Architect is a key member of the CISO team, responsible for the delivery of functional strategies, always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.

What you\’ll need to succeed
- Professional experience in IT, with a focus on cybersecurity
- Technical leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to lead security initiatives and collaborate across teams
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practicesik
- Experience with modern digital architectures such as cloud, data, API, digital, and mobile
- Knowledge of security domains including endpoint, network, data, hybrid cloud security, and zero trust strategies
- Experience in leading threat modelling sessions.
- An enabler who can speak with knowledge and confidence in their subject matter, guiding their team to success.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to utilise a range of techniques to deliver messages effectively, make an impact, and drive a successful outcome.
