The Lead Project Manager is a key member of the Transformation team, responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives within our technology pillar, always modelling the Post Office behaviours, and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.
The Lead Project Manager will manage and lead technology projects end to end, working cross functionally to deliver business solutions, ensuring that the critical success factors are met while scope, time, quality and cost of the projects are maintained. Demonstrating strong senior stakeholder management skills to ensure that communication is clear and concise, and deliverables are progressed, contributing towards overall programme and portfolio outcomes. They will embody a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance, with a key focus on delivery.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have extensive experience managing and successfully delivering large transformation change projects. In addition you will possess:
- Extensive Project Management experience and the ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Demonstrable experience of leading on the delivery of project milestones to achieve key objectives.
- Strong commercial business acumen and ability to make data-driven business decisions.
- Ideally experience managing transformation projects within Technology
- Strong leadership and people management skills and experience
- Ideally PMP or Prince 2
- Strong budget management and funding knowledge
- Ability to operate in a challenging and fast paced public sector environment with a significant level of complexity and political sensitivity
