The Head of Portfolio Governance & Operations is a senior member of the Transformation & Portfolio Office Team, responsible for developing and delivering functional strategies. This role models the Post Office behaviours and demonstrates a Postmaster-first mindset. The Head of Portfolio Governance & Operations will lead strategic prioritisation, oversight, operational support, and performance tracking of the Transformation Portfolio. This position ensures programme and project alignment with business goals, portfolio prioritisation, and resource optimisation. The role promotes a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance within their teams, facilitating decision-making across the Business, Customers, and Partners.

- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects
- Experience leading change aligned with business strategies
- Senior PMO leadership experience, preferably in complex transformation environments
- Knowledge of portfolio management best practices, including prioritisation and demand & capacity management
- Experience with portfolio management tools (e.g., Clarity PPM, Planview, MS Project Online, Jira)
- Professional certifications such as MSP, PMP, PgMP, Agile
- Membership of relevant professional bodies like MAPM
