The Delivery Management Officer (DMO) is a key role in the Transformation Portfolio Management Office team and reports to the Delivery Management Officer Team Leader. They are responsible for providing DMO services and assuring the projects and programmes that sit in a multi-workstream transformation portfolio. This Delivery Management Officer is accountable for providing the DMO services as defined in the DMO Services Catalogue to the projects and programmes within the Transformation Portfolio.

The DMO is also responsible for actively identifying areas for improvement in the programme controls processes and procedures and for recommending changes to the DMO Team Leader, as well as working with colleagues to implement any required changes.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience of delivering PMO services to a large and diverse portfolio of projects and programmes.
  • Proven experience of collaborating successfully with peers and senior managers.
  • Substantial experience in establishing successful, cross-functional, stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience of project management and delivery in Waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Proven experience of providing assurance of programme artefacts such as programme plans, RAIDO registers and progress reports.
  • Extensive experience of risk management, issue management and of opportunity exploitation.
  • Strong knowledge of the use and application of governance frameworks.
  • Experience of business case development and linking programme outcomes to business case benefits.
  • Strong understanding of scope control, Programme Change Control and baseline management.
  • Strong experience of programme planning and schedule management.
  • Strong experience of identifying, capturing and managing programme risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing programme assurance and upholding programme management standards.
  • Demonstrable experience of capturing Lessons Learnt and developing action and implementation plans.
