What to expect
The Contract Specialist – Tech is a key member of the Commercial Management team, responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives, always modelling the Post Office behaviours, and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.
The Contract Specialist – Tech will be responsible for assisting the Contract Manager in overseeing and managing IT contracts to ensure that they are executed effectively and efficiently. The role involves managing daily operations related to individual IT contracts and ensuring value for money through tracking financial risks and opportunities.
In this role you will have the opportunity to lead on contract change processes as well as build strong relationships with key suppliers. Working closely with the wider Contract Management function you will work on contract negotiations, implement contract changes and contract exits all within Technology.

What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience negotiating contract extensions and exits
- Experience in establishing cross functional stakeholder relationships
- Commercially oriented with a good business acumen
- Demonstrable experience working in a Supplier Relationship capacity
- Ideally CIPS level 4 or 5
- Experience working in the Public Sector would be of benefit
