The CMS Specialist is a key member of the Digital team, responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives, always modelling the Post Office behaviours, and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset. Acting as a trusted advisor, the CMS Specialist will share their expertise in CMS systems and agile delivery, demonstrating best practice across Digital.

The CMS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all published content adheres to full compliance with regulatory standards. They will embody a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance; with a key focus on delivering new digital propositions and large projects via the CMS that enhance customer experience and drive commercial outcomes. The CMS Specialist also supports business‑as‑usual (BAU) content initiatives, including updates, publishing, and maintenance, to uphold consistency, accessibility, and operational efficiency across the website.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of content updates using Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver content aligned to business objectives
  • Lead and support the delivery of project milestones, ensuring timely and high‑quality outcomes
  • Maintain content workflows, including version control, governance, and publishing schedules
  • Ensure all content meets compliance, accessibility, and SEO best practice standards
  • Format, apply templates, and publish digital content accurately and consistently
  • Work closely with development teams within agile environments, using tools such as Jira
  • Build and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships to support successful content delivery
  • Use data and insights to inform content decisions and continuous improvement
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining high attention to detail

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and delivering content via CMS platforms
  • Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders to support delivery of functional strategies
  • Demonstrable experience delivering project milestones and managing competing priorities
  • Strong experience establishing and maintaining cross‑functional relationships
  • Experience working with content workflows, version control, and publishing schedules
  • Experience working alongside technical or development teams
  • Knowledge of SEO and accessibility best practices
  • Experience in financial services or a regulated environment (highly desirable)
