As an Assistant Finance Partner, you will join us on our journey and undertake a valuable role reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering. The Assistant Finance Partner is a key member of the Finance Business Partnering team, responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives, always modelling the Post Office behaviours, and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset. The Assistant Finance Partner will support their Finance Business Partnering team and business partners across a number of Finance activities including approving spend, financial analysis and producing reports. They will embody a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance, with a key focus on delivery.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Qualifications:Ideally but not mandatory - Part Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA/Equivalent Finance Qualification
Experience:- Proven experience collaborating with peers, colleagues, and stakeholders to contribute to the delivery of functional strategy to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in establishing successful, cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrable experience of leading on the delivery of project milestones to achieve key objectives.
- Experience in working in supporting a finance team and business environment.
- Exposure to financial systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication styles and collaborate cross-functionally to drive successful outcomes and business decisions.
- A trusted advisor with the ability to apply knowledge of their own specialism as well as knowledge of related areas.
- Commercial business acumen with the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
- Displays a passion for pursuing personal development opportunities and expanding industry knowledge.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to upholding the values and principles of Post Office.
- An ambassador for promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within all areas of responsibility.
- Strong Excel experience and use of key formulas / pivot tables.
- Strong sense of urgency to get things done.
