We are looking for a skilledCalibration Engineerto join our team, specialising insmall tool calibrationwithin theautomotive sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and electronic measuring devices used in automotive manufacturing and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Performcalibration, verification, and maintenanceof small tools and measuring equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 17025, UKAS, etc.).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot calibration issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and certification documentation.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure tools and equipment meet required specifications.
- Assist in developing and improving calibration procedures and methodologies.
- Work closely with other departments, and maintenance teams to resolve measurement and accuracy issues.
- Ensure compliance withhealth & safetyand quality assurance standards.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as aCalibration Engineer / Technician, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge ofmeasurement and calibration techniquesfor small tools, including torque wrenches, micrometers, gauges, and electronic measuring devices.
- Familiarity withUKAS standards, ISO 9001, ISO 17025,and other relevant industry regulations.
- Ability to read and interprettechnical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including experience with calibration management software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
