We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Service Advisor to join our clients Service Division. The successful candidate will have complete responsibility for managing a group of Field Service Engineers. Manage the process of planned routine maintenance work and breakdown service visits, and all relevant customer communication. This role is pivotal in maintaining smooth workflows between clients, service engineers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and coordinate service appointments for garage equipment repairs and maintenance. Manage Field Service Engineers' daily schedules to optimise productivity and minimise downtime. Prioritise urgent service calls and communicate effectively with customers regarding delays or changes in service.
  • Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for your assigned geographical area regarding service requests, providing timely updates and solutions. Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional manner, escalating when necessary. Ensure follow-up after service completion to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Service Manager and other departments to ensure seamless service operations. Provide regular status reports on service schedules, technician availability, and ongoing issues.

Required Experience & Capabilities:

  • Substantial experience as a Service Advisor or Workshop Controller in a large car dealership would be advantageous.
  • Positive outlook with a clear focus on customers and a relentless push for better as well as right first time.
  • A great work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to think on your feet to resolve problems.
