PossAbilities is a social enterprise supporting vulnerable people to live the life they choose. We provide supported living services that help people live as independently as possible.

You will assist the House Manager with a set number of hours per week and, for the remaining hours, support individuals in a safe, high-quality, and happy home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the House Manager in their duties and ensure personal and professional standards are met.
  • Deliver support to people in a safe, excellent quality, and happy home.
Deputy House Manager Duties
  • Provide excellent support with personal care, activities, and daily tasks (e.g., medication administration, moving and positioning, financial support).
  • Ensure person-centred plans are adhered to and delivered promptly.
  • Provide assurance that the house, care, and support are safe and comply with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Respond, report, and act on incidents or concerns in accordance with health and safety and safeguarding processes.
  • Ensure all staff are up to date with mandatory training and development requirements.
  • Ensure all audits and compliance checks are completed and company policies adhered to.
Personal Assistant Duties
  • Provide support with personal care to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Help maintain a happy and stimulating physical environment.
  • Offer a choice of activities and support based on individual preferences and aspirations.
  • Maintain a high standard of living for individuals, including shopping, laundry, decorating, home maintenance, and gardening.
  • Support individuals with day-to-day finances.
  • Assist with medical appointments or other health needs identified in person-centred plans.
  • Support and assist with moving and handling equipment, including wheelchairs, while maintaining dignity.
  • Administer medication in accordance with individual plans.
  • Encourage participation in leisure, work, or voluntary activities.
  • Respond and report on any incidents or concerns during the individual's stay, in accordance with health and safety and safeguarding processes.
Qualifications & Safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
  • Past convictions do not automatically disqualify you; you must be upfront and honest about any required disclosures.

  • Pay: Real living wage – £26,953 per year for a 37-hour week (pro-rata for part-timers).
  • Pension: Contribution up to 4% of salary.
