Part-Time Support Worker / Personal Assistant job vacancy Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Benefits:

  • £14.27 per hour on weekdays, £15.53 per hour on weekends, Sleep over rate £12.21 per hour.

This is a direct employment opportunity with a young person who has complex health needs and requires one-to-one support within his own home and out in the community. Positive Outcome Recruitment has been selected as the recruitment partner to help find the most suitable Support Worker candidate for this rewarding opportunity.

Duties:
The role involves working with an 14 year old Boy who has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a severe learning disability is non verbal. He has a great sense of humour and is adventurous, you will support him in his day to day family and personal life.

· Engaging in social activities with family and friends.

  • Encouraging and promoting independence where possible.
  • Support with travel and on holidays
  • Assisting with personal care routines as required.
  • Support dietary requirements with PEG feeding.
  • Performing physiotherapy exercises under guidance.
  • Work alongside the existing MDT and other Support Workers.
  • Other light domestic chores as requested

Criteria:

  • Full UK driving License.
  • Experience working with young people with complex conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and good at building positive relationships.
  • Respectful of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Patient, fun, and with a good sense of humour.
  • Able to work independently and adapt to varying routines.
