Rates of Pay
- £15.63 per hour weekdays
- £16.67 per hour weekends
- Double time Bank Holidays
- NMW per hour for sleep in nights (unless the client is awake, then it will be £15.63 per hour)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality care and assistance to our young client. This role involves supporting the client with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual to join an existing and growing support team. We are looking for someone to assist the family in supporting and caring for their 14-year-old child who has a brain injury – this will be supporting the child to access social activities after school, during the holidays and weekends, and to also support them within the family home. Shifts are available overnight, weekends and before and after school.
This position requires that you work independently at times but also with the family and as part of a wider team. You will be joining a team of support workers who are fun and committed. You will work closely with a great team of therapists and the family who provide the highest standards of care and support. You will also receive high level support, and all necessary training will be provided.
You must work and conduct yourself in a manner that is acceptable to the employer. It is essential that you are reliable and trustworthy. It is important that you are sensitive to the needs and boundaries of the family and can support them in maintaining their structure and values.
Experience of working with young people or children with additional needs is preferred however not essential – what is most needed is a personality that matches the child’s, you must have a willingness to learn, to play, to have fun and the ability to work flexibly.
Hours will be offered via a permanent contract, and a rota is provided in advance. An excellent rate of pay is offered.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support client with household tasks.
- Assist with medication administration and attend health appointments as required.
- Encourage and support client to engage in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Promote independence and support client in developing life skills.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Follow individual care and support plans and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
- Uphold dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
Person Specification
Essential
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills for recording and reporting.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
- Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship).
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a care or support role.
- Level 2 or above qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
- First Aid and Manual Handling training.
- Knowledge of person-centred care approaches.
- Understanding of specific needs (e.g. learning disabilities, epilepsy).
