About the Role
We are recruiting a new dedicated support team to help our client thrive in her new home and in the community. Your role will focus on rehabilitation, developing independent living skills, and enhancing communication—all while empowering her to live life to the fullest. Within this new team, we will also be looking to recruit a highly experienced Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations and to lead the team to deliver the best quality care for our client. Responsibilities
- Provide support in meeting rehabilitation goals alongside treating therapists.
- Prompts for personal care.
- Support our client with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
- Assist with medication administration and attend health appointments as required.
- Encourage and support our client to engage in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Promote independence and support our client in developing life skills.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Follow individual care and support plans and report any changes or concerns to team leader or the case manager.
- Uphold dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
Person Specification – Essential
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with our client and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills for recording and reporting.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
- Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship).
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if role requires travel).
Person Specification – Desirable
- Previous experience in a care or support role.
- Level 2 or above qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
- First Aid training.
- Knowledge of person-centred care approaches.
- Understanding of specific needs – brain injury.
- Understanding rehabilitation for clients with a brain injury.
