The role involves supporting a gentleman to live active lives in the community, managing their daily living skills, facilitating their hobbies and interests and helping people realise their dreams!
The gentleman you will be supporting requires 2-1 support in his own home, he requires support to have all his personal care needs met, all his dietary needs met, and he requires support with all aspects of daily living.
You will be supporting the gentleman to live his best life, organising activities that he likes to do and exploring new ones.
The gentleman may struggle to regulate him emotions and may display behaviours of concern however full training will be provided.
The shifts are 12 hour shifts including days, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays.
We provide person centred individualised care with a focus on the model of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS)!
You will receive a 2-week induction and learn about PBS, understanding communication and behaviour, how to teach skills and enable people to live the lifestyle that they wish!
A workplace induction follows which enables you to learn how to support the individual in the way they wish. We will fund staff to complete the Level 3 Health & Social Care. We have a leadership pathway for those who have the right ambition, skills and aptitude which can take you from Support Worker to Team Leader and beyond!
