PIPS are a specialist supported living provider who over the last nine years have developed innovative person-centred solutions for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues across Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire. PIPS have a good reputation with commissioners, regulators, health and social care professionals, families and the people we support.
An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Team Manager post within one of our supported living services, in which we support individuals to live successfully within the community as tenants in their own homes.
We are looking for someone who has the following skills and qualities:
- Ability to lead a team of staff to provide excellent person-centred support.
- Proficient in the use of Positive Behavioural Support.
- Great supervisory skills, confidence to challenge staff when required.
- Has a focus on quality to improve services.
- Resilience.
This is a highly rewarding but challenging role, with the opportunity to help lead staff team to provide excellent support that helps people develop and grow. Positive Behavioural Support is central to the PIPS model of support so all applicants should be able to demonstrate competence in this regard.
Candidates should have either:
- RNLD / Social Work qualification or equivalent.
- Level 5 Leadership in Health & Social Care.
- At least 1 year’s experience in a leadership role.
