Great teams need someone steady at the centre of them.

That's you.

Join Positive Futures as a Senior Support Worker and take the next step in your care career, providing high quality support to people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autism, while mentoring, coaching and acting as a strong role model for the staff around you.

This is a role for someone who already knows what good support looks like, and wants to help others get there too.

You'll hold coordinator responsibility for a number of the people we support, taking the lead on developing, reviewing and evaluating their person-centred plans.

You'll take on Shift Leader responsibilities when needed, offering guidance to colleagues, and you'll provide regular, good quality person-centred supervision to the staff you support.

Real progression: Step up into coordinator and shift leadership responsibility, with support to work towards a QCF Level 3 if you don't already hold one.

A role that shapes others: Coach, mentor and supervise staff, helping them deliver the same quality of support you do.

Genuine trust and responsibility: Take the lead on reviews, risk management, and health and safety oversight within your service.

If you've got care experience already and you're ready to lead as well as support, we'd love to hear from you.

About this role This is where hands-on support meets genuine leadership, day in, day out.

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll provide high quality, person-centred support to the people you work with, while also holding lead responsibility for coordinating reviews with the people we support, their families and other significant people in their lives.

You'll act as a strong role model at all times, promoting best practice in everything from personal care to positive behaviour support.

You'll be involved in inducting, coaching and mentoring staff, particularly around active support and managing behaviour that challenges, using stress and coping plans or Positive Behaviour Support plans where relevant.

As Shift Leader, you'll offer advice and guidance to colleagues, chair or take part in meetings, and maintain oversight of records, finances, medication and health and safety within your service.

This role suits someone with at least 6 months' paid experience in a health and social care or community setting, ideally with experience leading a shift or acting as a key worker, and confidence using digital systems for records, rotas and incident reporting.

A QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is preferred, though we'll consider candidates willing to work towards it.

If you're ready to bring both hands-on support and genuine leadership to a team that values both, this is a great next step.
