Location - Castle Supported Living Service, Bangor

Two positions available:

  • Support Worker - 37.5 hours per week.
  • Support Worker Waking Nights - 36 hours per week.

Salary Information - Up to £13.12 per hour

No Driving License or Car Required

About The Role

What does a Support Worker do? Put simply, you help someone live the life they want. Some days that's cooking together, sorting the weekly shop, or getting out into the local community. Other days it's helping someone reach a goal they've been dreaming about for years. The heart of it is the relationship - getting to know someone and supporting them in a way that's truly theirs, so they have real choice and control over their own life.

Providing Person Centred Support

  • Supporting People to Develop and Maintain Key Skills in relation to Housing Support
  • Supporting Independence, Social and Communication Skills
  • Some Administration such as record keeping and report completion.

All duties must be carried out within the policies and procedures of the Organisation. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from obtaining the position. Positive Futures also have a Policy and procedure on Recruitment of Ex-Offenders and Storage & Handling copies of which can be made available upon request.

  • Personal or work experience of providing care or support for someone
  • Basic digital skills e.g. to record notes and use rota, HR or care systems.
