SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional provision offering education and support to children with SEMH aged 5-17. Our client is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join them on a full time permanent basis. The school caters for pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour. The school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental wellbeing needs.

The successful candidate will be:
- Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities
- Assisting with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management
- Providing daily reports on learners' progress and barriers to learning
- Interacting with parents/care givers on a regular basis
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
- At least two years experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
- A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous
