We are excited to announce this new opportunity within a large provider of SEN and SEMH education. Seeking a Headteacher, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for a fantastic school in the Knutsford area.

The provisions are Independent SEMH Specialist Schools (11-16) offering an alternative curriculum to young people with a range of SEMH special educational needs.

The vast majority of their students have an EHCP and may have a diagnosis of ADHD or ASD. They also take a small number of students from the local authority inclusion service who have been, or are at risk of, being permanently excluded from mainstream settings.

The successful candidate will:

Under the overall direction, the Headteacher plays a lead role in formulating the aims, objectives of the schools and establishing the policies through which they are to be achievedLead by example, holding and articulating clear values and moral purpose, and focusing on providing excellent education for all pupilsProvide direction and line management of the senior leadership teamBe responsible for the standards and curriculum of all pupils including monitoring of progress towards achievementTo have a central responsibility for raising the quality of teaching and learning and for pupils achievement. Setting high expectations and monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of learning outcomesManage safeguarding across the school and act according to Keeping Children Safe in Education.Provide curriculum leadership across the schoolLead regular reviews of all school systems to ensure statutory requirements are being met and improved on where appropriateLead on Ofsted inspections including the independent schools standardsManage staff development programmes and school resourcesLead on formulating and reviewing the School Development PlanOur ideal candidate will have:
