Location: Derby (Mickleover / Littleover)
Salary: £45,000 £70,000 (DOE)
Bonus: £3,000 sign on fee after probation + up to £7,000 annual performance bonus
Hours: 40 per week + on?call
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays
A values driven organisation is seeking an experienced and inspirational Registered Manager to lead a 2 placement residential EBD childrens home, ensuring high?quality care, strong safeguarding practice, and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Job Purpose
To lead and manage the childrens home in line with organisational values, ensuring outstanding care, regulatory compliance, and a nurturing, aspirational environment for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day to day running of the home, including care delivery, staffing, safeguarding, and quality assurance.
Ensure full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards (2015) and all statutory frameworks.
Lead, support, and develop staff through supervision, performance management, and professional development.
Maintain strong multi agency relationships with social workers, parents, health, and education partners.
Ensure childrens physical, emotional, social, and psychological needs are met through tailored support.
Manage rotas, staffing structures, recruitment, induction, and on call arrangements.
Produce monitoring reports, audits, and statistical data within agreed deadlines.
Prepare for Ofsted inspections and maintain compliance with Regulation 44 and 45 reporting.
Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and childrens rights throughout the service.
Maintain a safe, well equipped home and manage budgets and resources effectively.
Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young Peoples Services (or working towards)
Children and Young Peoples Workforce QCF Level 3 or 4
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum 3 years experience working with children in the last 5 years
Previous experience as a Registered Manager (ESSENTIAL)
Supervisory or management experience in residential childcare
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and the impact of trauma
Knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations, Children Acts, Working Together 2018, and SSCIF
Experience working with multi agency partners and families
