Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Transport Area Co‑ordinator for our client, a government organisation in Flintshire. The successful post holder will interpret the home‑to‑school transport eligibility criteria, completing transport assessments using the organisation's transport planning system, updating spreadsheets with assessment criteria for process by Admin support. Short term temporary support to assess mainstream home‑to‑school transport applications. Initially for 6 weeks with possible extension as needed. Office days initially moving to home working once training complete.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for coordinating transport arrangements throughout Flintshire, ensuring the delivery of safe and efficient transport services.
- Acting as a central point of contact for parents, customers, establishments, and providing professional support to Flintshire staff and Members on a range of transport operations matters, including public transport (services, infrastructure), community transport, home‑to‑school transport, SEN/additional learning needs, adult social care, college and children's services transport.
- Responsible and accountable for delivering a proactive, excellent customer focused service, and for the quality and performance of transport operations within a geographical area and effective contract management of a wide range of projects, programmes and infrastructure.
Personal Requirements
- Experience organising transport services (Desirable).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Local authority experience (Desirable).
Working Hours
36hrs / Monday - Friday
Pay
£22.25 per hr
Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
