Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant for our client, a Primary School based in Haringey. The successful candidate will provide key assistance and support to students and teachers in class to further the education of the pupils. This role is an ongoing temporary contract and for the right candidate potentially for the entire school year, with opportunities to become a permanent contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support across all subjects.
- Provide literacy, numeracy and social skills interventions.
- Collaborate with subject teachers to scaffold instructions and resources.
- Support students to prepare for assessments and carry out the role of a reader or scribe if necessary.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, in all aspects of school life.
Personal Requirements:
- Previous experience in the same position or a very similar role.
- Valid Enhanced DBS with child barring checks (Essential).
- Genuine interest in children's development and education.
- Relevant qualifications/educational background (Desirable).
Working Hours: 33.75hrs / 8:30 am - 16:00pm / Monday to Friday
Pay: £17.00 p/h (Umbrella). Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
