Our client is a large local government organisation looking for an experienced Logistics Team Leader to join their team. This is initially a 6 month contract which may be extended for the right applicant.
We are seeking two experienced Logistics Team Leaders for up to 6 months to provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of a busy driver team. You will oversee the planning and allocation of workloads, ensuring delivery and collection services are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
The role involves monitoring performance, maintaining high service standards, and driving continuous improvement. You will also build strong working relationships across teams and partner organisations, respond to customer queries, and support operational excellence across the service.
The ideal candidate will have corporate fleet and logistics experience as well as knowledge of servicing and MOT, insurance claims, awareness of speeding, etc.
The role is based at GELS Team in Hempstead, Gloucester. GELS plays an important role in supporting the care sector in Gloucestershire.
Please note this role is inside scope of IR35. You will need to be on site 5 days per week.
