Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for a number of HGV / LGV 2 srivers to join their team. This is initially a 3 monthcontract which may be extended for the right candidate You will To collect domestic recycling/refuse – responsibly and efficiently from properties throughout the district on a previously specified and agreed route weekly. To drive and operate refuse/recycling vehicle. To clean vehicle body and cab once per week minimum To act in accordance with the Council Work Practices and to represent the Council in an appropriate manner at all times. To following Health and Safety Work Practices as outlined in the Health and Safety manual. To take responsibility for the vehicles and equipment issued, reporting any defects that may affect the vehicles roadworthiness, or the equipments effectiveness. To complete the drivers’ hours book on a daily basis and submit these weekly to the Services Manager To provide waste minimisation by not disposing of domestic refuse when collecting organic waste. Educating the general public in the correct methods available for the disposal of refuse/recycling. Emptying of contents of refuse/recycling vehicle (tipping at landfill site). To ensure fuel purchase cards assigned to individual named drivers, are used in accordance with Council’s Financial Regulations. PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS INSIDE SCOPE OF IR35 …
