Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Head of Procurement for our client, a local government organisation based in Tower Hamlets, London. The successful post holder will provide strategic leadership to the organisation's corporate procurement function, overseeing approximately Β£450 million of third-party spend annually. This is a high-profile opportunity to influence how public services are commissioned, delivered and improved, ensuring maximum value for residents, communities and local businesses. As Head of Procurement, the post holder will lead and deliver the organisation's procurement transformation programme, driving innovation, efficiency, commercial excellence and best practice while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. The post holder will lead a service of up to 22 procurement and commercial professionals, directly managing senior leaders within the function and ensuring procurement plays a central role in delivering the organisation's strategic priorities. The role combines strategic leadership, commercial expertise and organisational influence, requiring an experienced procurement leader who can operate confidently with Corporate Directors, Directors, Members and other senior stakeholders.
