Our client is a large local government organisation seeking an experienced Communications Business Advisor to join their team. This is initially a 3-month contract with potential for extension for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic advice on internal and external communications to senior officers and portfolio leads, and recommend improvements.
  2. Contribute to the development and delivery of the council’s communications plans.
  3. Understand the strategic outcomes and requirements of individual services or external clients, translating them into communications plans and delivery programmes.
  4. Collaborate with other communications advisers to set standards and introduce content guidelines, ensuring clear communication with residents, customers, employees, partners, businesses, and Government.
  5. Explore and implement new communication channels, ensuring a Digital First approach.
  6. Supervise professional communications staff within your account group and participate in senior management team meetings when required.
  7. Plan, create, and deliver your own communications programmes.
  8. Champion the One Team approach and collaborate with colleagues across the team.
  9. Deputise for Strategic Communications Business Partners, including attending management meetings and high-level briefings, if appropriate.

Additional Details:

  • Hourly Rate: £27.00 – £30.00
  • This role is inside scope of IR35 .
  • Hybrid working arrangements available.
