PLEASE NOTE : Candidates must have Procurement Act 2023 and PCR2015 experience and ideally have a public sector procurement background Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Procurement professional to join their team.
This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate You will Support to Procurement Category Specialists which will include: Analysis of data Tendering activities with E tendering system Monitoring Compliance to Contracts Develop and maintain systems and procedures to ensure that internal and external policies and procedures are adhered to.
Provide advice and support on all aspects of procurement to Services, including tender procedures, compliance with legislation, relevant contract terms, tender evaluation strategies and award procedures, contract management techniques and resolution of disputes to minimize both financial and non-financial risks to the Council.
Supervise procurement support officers in their day to day duties Contribute to the development of the procurement strategy and action plan, and implementation of best practice across the Council through on-going training, personal development and active participation in initiatives with services and suppliers designed to promote improved procurement practices.
