Laboratory Technician for a specialist chemicals manufacturer based in North East England. Company: Multinational speciality chemicals manufacturer, working with some of the largest pharmaceutical, performance and agrochemical manufacturers in the world. Hours of work: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility, if required) Why join? Duration: Permanent Salary: Up to £30k per annum (dependent on your skills and experience). You Will Be Involved In Ensuring the laboratory facilities are fully functioning and compliant, and any maintenance work carried out with associated paperwork. Maintaining consumables, reagents and equipment. Helping with sourcing chemicals/reagents to drive down costs whilst ensuring quality. Filing of documentation and archiving when required. Helping with the storage of retained samples and coordinating the disposal of expired samples/reagents. What do you need to be considered? You Will Need Chemistry (or equivalent science) qualification to A-level or above. Working knowledge of GLP, GMP or other compliant working standards. Knowledge of QHSE and COSHH within the chemicals industry. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organisation skills. Keen eye for detail and the ability to problem solve.
