We are looking for highly talented and adaptable Systems Engineers to become part of our innovative team. The ideal candidates will bring extensive knowledge in system architecture, design, integration, testing, and validation within intricate systems. Overseeing the full lifecycle of system development, ensuring adherence to industry standards, fulfilling security and safety requirements, and playing a key role in the development of high-quality, dependable systems for critical applications in areas such as defence, aerospace, and maritime industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hazard analysis for naval-related systems to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and document safety requirements to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Prepare detailed safety cases, manage supporting evidence, and ensure thorough documentation.
  • Develop and present safety arguments using Goal Structuring Notation (GSN) to demonstrate system safety.
  • Perform functional failure analysis to identify and address potential system failures.
  • Conduct fault tree analysis to systematically identify and evaluate potential faults within the system.
  • Execute FMECA to assess and mitigate the impact of potential failure modes.
  • Utilize SWIFT methodology to identify and evaluate potential hazards and their consequences.
  • Conduct Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs) to systematically review and improve system safety.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in systems engineering within the defence sector, particularly with naval systems.
  • Strong technical skills in hazard analysis, safety requirements writing, safety case development, and evidence management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in functional failure analysis, fault tree analysis, FMECA, and SWIFT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex safety arguments clearly and effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in safety documentation and analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
