Key Responsibilities:

  1. Hazard Analysis: Conduct thorough hazard analysis for naval-related systems to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  2. Safety Requirements: Develop and write detailed safety requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Safety Case Writing: Prepare and manage safety cases, including the collection and organization of evidence to support safety claims.
  4. Safety Arguments: Develop and present safety arguments using Goal Structuring Notation (GSN) to demonstrate the safety of weapon systems.
  5. Functional Failure Analysis: Perform functional failure analysis to identify potential failure modes and their impacts on system performance.
