We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Stress Engineer to join our team in the defence sector. The successful candidate will conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural assessments to validate mechanical integrity under operational conditions
  • Estimate, plan, lead, and deliver structural analysis work packages using classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable)
  • Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports, conveying complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management
  • Develop and improve methods, processes, and tools proactively
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering professional growth
  • Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to network, influence, and manage stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline or significant experience in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Analysis)
  • Proven experience in structural analysis work packages
  • Proficiency in classical hand calculation methods and CAE tools (Hyperworks desirable)
  • Strong skills in preparing and presenting technical reports
  • Proactive and passionate about developing and improving methods, processes, and tools
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
